OH CANADA!!

Updated: Mar 30

Canadian politicians are saying that Canada is on a path towards unification. The commitment to create a stronger national economy includes promoting freer trade between its provinces. This initiative is driven by the recognition that a cohesive economic strategy can enhance productivity, foster innovation, and improve the overall standard of living for Canadians.

By reducing trade barriers and harmonizing regulations, provinces can collaborate more effectively, allowing businesses to thrive and consumers to benefit from a wider range of goods and services. The unification efforts also focus on addressing regional disparities, ensuring that all provinces can contribute to and share in the nation's economic growth. As Canada moves forward, the commitment to a unified economic framework will be crucial in navigating global challenges and seizing new opportunities for prosperity.

It is difficult to predict what all of these changes will mean to each of us as individuals. There are going to be challenges and hopefully some gains.

Many Canadians have taken a stance. Without any organization, individuals have decided to reduce their travel to the states and are making real efforts to buy Canadian produced goods, or goods from any other country than America.

The American boycott on groceries and consumables has increased the Canadian GDP by .7 in the month of February which translates to approximately 60 000 jobs in Canada. We are still enmeshed with American economy BUT we can do a lot to strengthen our own economic presence in Canada and “Stand on guard for thee!”
